MT. PLEASANT PUBLIC LIBRARY

NEW LIBRARY INFORMATION:

In the United States, there are 258 “Star” libraries, as awarded by Library Journal, the leading journal in the library industry.  Those star libraries come from a pool of 7,407 libraries across the country.

Out of 205 public libraries in Utah, only four were awarded Star ranking. Those rankings come from compiling a set of statistics based on per capita circulation, visits, program attendance and public internet terminal use.  They break the national group of 258 Star libraries into nine categories, based on expenditure amounts.

In our category, which is $100k – $199K, we rank 7th, and 38th overall within the entire 258 national Star libraries!
