Services for Disabled Citizens

1. Continue to identify the citizens whose disabilities prevent them from entering the library. Contact the newspaper, hospital, doctor’s clinics, home health offices, Sanpete County Health Dept., and the pharmacy on a regular basis. Leave information and applications with them so qualified citizens can apply for home library service (see attached).

2. Call-in library services

A. Patrons can call in and talk to a librarian who will fill their requests and answer questions. Materials will then be delivered to their home by volunteers.

B. Patrons can call and make requests. Library staff will fill requests and arrange a time for the patron to pick up materials. Materials will be delivered by library staff to the patron’s car outside the library in the public parking area.

the items.

2. HOME DELIVER AND PICK-UP

Patrons can call the library, make a request, materials will be checked out on their card, and then delivered. When patrons are finished, they can call for pick-up.

Approval by a healthcare official may be needed to verify disabilities. A library volunteer or staff member will contact you and arrange for you to get a library card.
