Teen Summer Reading Program
TEEN SUMMER READING PROGRAM
The theme this year for the teen summer reading program is:
The teen summer reading program is for students ages 12 to 18. Those who are 12 and will be going into 7th grade in August can choose to participate in the Children’s program or the teen’s program but you can’t do both.
What you need to do -
- Come into the Mt. Pleasant Public Library and register. You don’t need to have a library card to sign up. Signups will begin on June 1st and go until August 19th.
- You need to read 1 book a month. You can only count 3 books for the whole summer but we encourage you to read as much as you can.
- Once you read a book you need to come to the library and mark it off on the signup sheet and fill out an entry form. You will also receive a small prize for each book you read (up to 3). We will have a different prize each month. You can only get one prize a month so if you read all of your books in June you can mark off that you have read them but you will have to come back in July and August to get your prize. If you miss a month you will miss out on that prize but you can still mark off your book and earn 3 entry forms.
- All books must be read and all entry forms must be turned in by August 21st. We will do the drawing for the bigger prizes on the 23rd and the winners will be announced in the schools on August 24th. All students who participate will receive a final prize in August.

If you will not be attending the High School or Middle you need to let us know ASAP so we can hold your prize at the library. Everyone who participated in the reading program will receive a prize.
